Remote Viewer is a purpose-built camera system for image-based environmental monitoring using the Globalstar satellite network for North American coverage2. Remote Viewer is available in two models, FS and LS.

Remote Viewer FS

A three-component system—the data transceiver may be mounted on a mast at a high elevation, the camera can be mounted at a height that affords optimum viewing, and the control panel box can be mounted at ground level for easy access. The system can also be connected to other sensing equipment, such as a weather station, via an RS-232 port located in the control panel box.

Remote Viewer LS

A one-component system. The data transceiver, camera, and controls are housed in one compact unit. The Remote Viewer LS unit can be mounted on a mast or fastened to a permanent structure. The system can also be connected to other sensing equipment, such as weather stations, and this requires a small RS-232 port adaptor.
